from birth to death
a temporary time on earth,
a purpose,
to breed

life’s experiences
and acquaintances
heartaches and joys,
set forth by him
he who will lead

knowledge unknown
of one’s fate,
an ending untold,
its path we do not choose
yet we proceed

what lies beyond
is to be discovered
to be embraced by all
questioned by the living
endured by the dead,
no more ,
shall
we bleed
