Hi, My name is Rich Wheeler, originally from Baie Verte. My wife has recently being diagnosed with a terminal brain disease called Huntington's Disease. Her brother Rick, also has this disease. Their Dad and sister have since passed from it. In an effort to bring awareness to it we just completed our second annual Team HD Run for a Cure. We held this on July 5th and covered the distance between Baie Verte and Coachman's Cove...20kms. My son Jordan and my nephew Cory whose Dad has HD, ran the entire 20 kms themselves. It started out wet but we ended with a fabulous sunny afternoon. We had approx 70 participants and we had a goal of raising $5000 for research.....as of today we have close to $12,000 raised!!
