This picture I saw online as per an earlier ISSUE stating 'no detail available', well, most likely Grade 5 and 1970 at Curtis Academy. I was the teacher and had a most wonderful class there and I just wish I knew all their names and status today. I met one who became a successful businessman and he said 'You changed my life.' Teaching was rewarding for me and my approach was simple,'be fair and above all ENCOURAGE' - worked wonders for me. In all I taught school for 30 years and enjoyed it. I moved from Curtis Academy in 1970 to Bonavista where I retired in 1994. Amazingly, shortly after I transferred to Bonavista, Curtis Academy burnt to the ground which was so sad. I go there on occasions when visiting the city to 'look at the remains and reminisce.'   Submitted By: Freeman Dunford
