My name is Allan Cumby and I'm originally from Markland, Newfoundland, now working with CF(L)CO Hydro in Churchill Falls, Labrador. The other day my friend and I went to the cabin on a fishing trip; when we got there I proceeded down by the lake to try for a fish. My first cast in the water, I thought my bad luck had started already when I caught my hook on the bottom - but then something started pulling me closer to the waters' edge. Only 20 minutes later I hauled this 34-lb, 42-inch-long lake trout onto the shore. I was like a five-year-old child on Christmas day.
