Sitting at Burnt Point
Me, my husband and my oldest son are from Newfoundland, but we moved away to British Columbia 14 years ago. Since then, we've had two more kids, but they have never been to Newfoundland. This year I decided to take them back home to meet their aunts, uncles and cousins. The boy is nine and the girl is six - they loved it. The picture was taken in Burnt Point, and the background is of a place we always called Mousehole. It's also the same place a ship went aground 50 - 60 years ago; I think it was called the "Culp." My grandfather went down over the cliff to save a man clinging to the rocks. Submitted By: NULL
