Aaron and I had planned our wedding for August 8th, 2020, on the wharf. Both of us grew up in fishing communities, he a fisherman himself and my father was for most of his life. I lost my father in 2018 and this was my parents' anniversary date but Covid had us cancel it. It was hard to reschedule when it was a date with meaning. That October I was going through dates and we decided January 23, 2021, my fathers birthday, would be the perfect day. So many people braved the cold and wind to watch us tie the knot!
