Reunited after 43 years.<br /> <br /> After 43 years Carol Chartrand was able to hold her daughter once more, a dream Carol never thought would come true.<br /> Cindy Alm and her husband Harvey came all the way from Brandon, Manitoba to be reunited with her birth mother that she hadn't seen since she was three years old when she was placed in foster care because of her moms illness. Cindy was then adopted, but as she got older she wanted to know her birth mother so she then contacted CYFS to seek answers, she quickly found her mom but was unable to visit her until this week . <br /> Carol is a resident at Mount Margaret Manor in St. Lawrence, Cindy arrived in St. Lawrence Thursday evening on R&amp;E taxi due to rental car mix up the couple was unable to rent a car in St. Johns but it didn't stop Cindy from getting to see her mom, the reunion was a tearful one for both women. Carol said she was the happiest women alive while holding her daughter tightly she said she would never let her go again. <br /> Cindy and Harvey both loved St. Lawrence and the welcome they received when they arrived thanks to Graham Tobin the owner of Tobin's efficiency units, where the couple stayed while visiting, Mr. Tobin made it possible for them to have a vehicle to drive during their stay . They both were overwhelmed by the kindness shown to them from everyone they met including the staff at the manor where her mom resides. They are now planning there next visit she can't wait to see her mom again and they both said it wont be another 43 years before they see each other again.   Submitted By: martha brewer
