Attached is a picture of my daughter, Jadyn Taylor, with a baby robin (we named Napoleon) that was rescued outside my workplace, in the Venture Centre in Pasadena, after a crow carried away its sibling. The baby robin never had many feathers when we rescued him, barely able to move in the grass below the tree that he was knocked out of. We cared for Napoleon until we felt he was ready to fly away. We did some internet research and discovered that we should feed him cat food, because it was high in protein (he sure loved the cat food) and later we began to feed him worms. Also, we learned a technique to teach him to fly. My girls really loved the experience of raising the little robin and it was very rewarding when we watched him fly. Napoleon stayed around for a little while after we let him go but it was great to see him do so well. What an experience!
