Hi Downhomer, My name is Mcpl Ashley Cormier; I am a member of the Canadian Armed forces and currently serving in Afghanistan. I am posting this picture of me and my cousin Cpl Brian Kendall. We both grew up in St. Teresa’s, a small community on the west coast. We are currently serving our third month in Afghanistan and still have three or four more months to go. We both serve in Hotel Company, The Second Battalion of The Royal Canadian Regiment. The photo was taken at a F.O.B (Forward Operating Base). American Dog handlers who are serving with us constructed the monument in the background. It was constructed for our fallen comrades who have served before us in Afghanistan. I am writing this letter to thank everybody for the support that we receive while we continue to serve our country.
