I Visited my home in Colliers Conception Bay this past summer and had the pleasure of visiting my good buddy and childhood friend Kenneth Ghaney in Conception Hr. Even when we were kids Kenneth had a strong love of animals,undoubtably passed on from his father the late Leonard Ghaney of Colliers,who always kept many farm animals.
He introduced me to his latest little family members..3 little nubile goats and as the story goes the mother of these little goats died not long after giving birth....so Kenneth took the animals....bottle fed them and even kept them in his bedroom to keep them warm......and amazingly enough all are healthy and believe me very much full of life........and as his wife Laura told me Kenneth can often be seen walking in Kitchuses Conception Hr. with a string of goats .dogs and cats all following him like a pied piper or indeed a modern day Newfoundland Dr.Doolittle.
