Turkey Pot Pie

1 turkey breast, boneless, skinless, chopped
1/2 cup butter (or margarine)
1 large onion, chopped
1 large carrot, chopped
3 stalks of celery, chopped
1 small turnip, chopped
1/4 tsp savoury
1 cup frozen green peas
2 tbsp flour
1-2 cups water (or chicken stock)
Salt & pepper to taste
1 pie shell, ready-made
1 roll pie crust, ready-made
1/2 cup butter (or margarine)

1 cup frozen green peas
2 tbsp flour
1-2 cups water (or chicken stock)
Salt & pepper to taste
1 pie shell, ready-made
1 roll pie crust, ready-made
Sauté turkey in butter (or margarine) with onion, carrot and celery. When onion is translucent, add turnip and savoury. When turnips start to soften, add green peas and flour. Add water (or stock) and stir until you get the consistency of gravy. Season with salt & pepper. Pour into pie shell and top with pie crust. Prick top of pie several times with fork. Bake at 350°F for about 30 min. or until golden brown and starting to bubble.
