Blueberry Cobbler

1/2 cup margarine
1 cup self-rising flour
1/2 cup sugar, divided
3/4 cup nonfat milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups fresh blueberries
1/2 cups water
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter in a shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, milk and vanilla in a mixing bowl; pour evenly over butter. Combine berries, remaining 1/4 cup sugar (combined with cinnamon and nutmeg) and water. Spoon evenly over flour mixture. Do not stir. Bake 40 to 45 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
