Boiled Raisin Cake

1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 cup dark raisins
2 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups boiling water
1 cup brown sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda

Boil (except flour and baking soda) until butter is melted. Let liquid cool, then add flour and baking soda. Bake in greased tube or bundt pan at 325°F for 1 hour.
