Out of This World Salad

1 pkg lemon gelatin (jelly powder)
1 cup hot water
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 small can crushed pineapple
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup pecans
1 cup lemon-lime soda
1 cup hot water

1 cup lemon-lime soda
Dissolve jelly powder in hot water. Add cream cheese and stir until mixed. Let cool. Add pineapple, sugar, vanilla and pecans; stir. Add soda, stir well and chill until set.
