The September 2010 issue of Downhome (pages 132 and 133) carried photos asking if anyone could identify them. In November, I received a letter from Marilyn Richards, now living in Red Deer, Alberta, believing that this Elizabeth Pike was her great-great-grandmother, who was Elizabeth Gale (of Codroy), married to John Pike from Port-aux-Basques. He died young, and with a few children, she moved to Crabbes, next to the Highlands. This new photo was found in a steamer trunk belonging to Michael & Veronica (Hynes) Wall. Veronica was raised by Mrs. Michael (Hynes) Gillis of Great Codroy. (Michael Wall's parents were Thomas Wall and Mary Agnes Costello.)
