Unknown Wall Photo
The September 2010 issue of Downhome (pages 132 and 133) carried photos asking if anyone could identify them. In November, I received a letter from Marilyn Richards, now living in Red Deer, Alberta, believing that this Elizabeth Pike was her great-great-grandmother, who was Elizabeth Gale (of Codroy), married to John Pike from Port-aux-Basques. He died young, and with a few children, she moved to Crabbes, next to the Highlands. This new photo was found in a steamer trunk belonging to Michael & Veronica (Hynes) Wall. Veronica was raised by Mrs. Michael (Hynes) Gillis of Great Codroy. (Michael Wall's parents were Thomas Wall and Mary Agnes Costello.) Hoping to receive more help in identifying the photo.
