My step dad and I went fishing in Paddy's Pond on Canada Day, and what a long day it was. It seemed like we fished for hours! As the time passed I was getting really bored being a 10-year-old boy, I was thinking I could be having more fun at home playing street hockey with my friends. So after some time I asked could we go home after this last turn around the pond. I wasn't having an exciting time since we were not catching anything. Then out of nowhere Dad has a fish or something on, we figured it was a stick because there was no movement - just dead weight. After a long time of reeling slow so that the line would not break up came such a huge fish I got scared and jumped back first, but when I realized it was only a trout I quickly grabbed the net and scopped that monster in. We took loads of pictures of the fish to hang around to show proof of our bragging rights. After 4-5 years we have been dragging in our boat this has got to be our biggest fish yet!   Submitted By: Lauralee Porter
