While visiting my parents in Marystown during September 2005 I had the opportunity to go out on my fathers boat to assist in moving a friends home from one side of the bay to the other. This method of house moving hasn't been seen in many years and it attracted a lot of attention. The Targa race was in town that day and I don't believe they had as big an audience as we did for the move. It took a while, and there were some tense moments. The advice of some older folks may have helped balance the house better, but two big boats and a lot of help from smaller crafts completed the job. The next morning the house sat up nicely on the opposite shore, mostly unscathed. A rich and memorable experience for me.   Submitted By: Jeannette Mallay
