Anyone who is ashamed of the term just doesn’t understand what it means to be a “Newfie.” It is something to be proud of, something that makes us unique and something that ties all of us Newfoundlanders together. When someone calls me a Newfie I smile with pride.   Submitted By: Lesley Murphy
