Yarmouth Herald 10 October 1867 – In Minnesota, recently, two men were kept all night flat on their back and motionless, feigning death, by a ferocious animal which they supposed to be a bear, but which the morning light showed to be a Newfoundland dog.   Submitted By: Jayne Hiscock
