A True Newfie Dinner
Oh, a true Newfie dinner,
is what we all crave,
and we're sure to want it,
till we go to our grave.

No, it doesn't matter,
how far we might roam,
when we think "Newfie Dinner,"
we think about home.

Then there's the peas pudding,
with lassy duffs for dessert,
and by time we're all finished ,
our poor tummy might hurt.

So listen my friends,
just make do with what you got,
and if you don't have the beef,
put more pork in the pot.

And if there's any left over,
don't put it all in the trash,
'cause nothing tastes better,
then some Jiggs' dinner hash.
