Does anybody know of an abandoned community that's fairly easy to access?

I'd love to explore a Newfoundland community that was resettled, but I'm assuming most aren't easy to find/access.

Check out "Grole Revisited" on facebook. Grole is in Hermitage Bay and I found out just recently that you can visit there...takes a car, dirt road and about a 45 minute walk. Ask anyone there how to get to this once beautful community. I just recently finished Harvey Jackman's book on Grole. It was a beautiful place and not much exists there but the graveyard and places/foundations where "once they stood".

La Manche was a fishing village destroyed by a rogue wave in 1966. It is close to the provincial park of the same name, and is simply beautiful. It is perhaps an hour or less south of St. Johns. We visited NL in September, and had the time of our lives.
